The Challenge

EduSphere struggled with WebSocket disconnection storms during multi-user collaborative testing. Their existing AWS RDS instances couldn't handle the massive write-heavy load of 100k simultaneous student progress updates.

The Architecture

We introduced a decoupled state management layer using Socket.io and Redis. By implementing a write-through caching strategy, we offloaded 80% of the database pressure. We also engineered a custom HLS adaptive bitrate streaming service to ensure video stability in low-bandwidth regions.
